Streaming Platforms: The biggest winners

All the misfortunes of the film industry and indeed the global economy as a whole did not deny its benefits from the global capitalism, so the losses of production and distribution companies became gains of streaming platforms. With the closing of public spaces and the prevention of mass gatherings around the world, the role of home entertainment has increased, and experts expect that the profits of streaming sector will increase this year to reach $ 25.9 billion.

Newer streaming platforms such as “HBO Max”, “Disney +”, and “Apple TV” did not take into account these quick and extreme box office developments which of course will benefit them. So far, none of the studios has announced the cancellation of their cinematic shows and the trend for streaming display, but with the continuation of the emergency imposed by the spread of the virus, the losses will of course increase, which will push these companies to streaming services to try to control the situation.

The growing demand for home platforms has already attracted the attention of investors in the financial markets, which has already led to a rise in the share prices of the majority of the companies, especially the big three, “Netflix”, “Amazon” and “Hulu”, as local platforms in China have witnessed an increase in the financial value, “Tencent” increased by 1%, “iQiyi” by 2%, and “Bilibili” by 12%.

But at the same time that these companies witness an unexpected boom, they face the same crisis regarding the production of new content, as Netflix announced the suspension of all its projects in the production stage in response to the emergency declared by the American President a few days ago, which is what Similarly applies to all networks indefinitely.

      In a lane man language culture is said to be our total way of life. It is also said to be the cumulative deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitudes, meaning, hierarchies, religion notions of time, roles spatial relation, concept of the universe and material object and possessions acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and group striving.

      Culture also consist of different patterns, inplict and explicit of any behavior acquired by transmitted by symbols, constituting different achievement of human groups, including their take in the art craft.the essential core of culture consist of traditional ideas including their values, their system may be considered as a product of action.

TYPES OF CULTURE;

There are two main type of culture which are;

. Material

. Non material

. MATERIAL CULTURE:this kind of culture has to do with physical appearance ie things that are made by the society. Nigeria is blessed with a good material resources so as Americans that their production are based on car which makes them proud. This cars symbolize their place in the society plus their wealth. Material culture does not basically mean that it could be bought or sold, it can also be something we make ourselves like macaroni art that has being in existence for years now.

. NON MATERIAL CULTURE: This could be referred to as this intangible things produced by a culture. These are the kind of culture that you can't feel, touch, taste and hold. Examples of this kind of culture are ethics, social roles, beliefs or even language. Equality was also said to be part of non material culture but it does not actually exist its just an idea that deals on how people are to be treated. The non material culture is much of a big influence on our lives as material culture is.
