TOP 10 NIGERIAN STREET FOOD AND STYLES

Are you a food lover?
What can you do to have your favourite dish? Have you ever thought of having Nigeria street food without being shy and forgetting your etiquette? Well, luck is on your side cause I would be taking you round our list of street food and how they could be combined with other things.

1.BOLI (Roasted Plantain)

Bolie is made with rested plantains, it has its own function. A lot of people love to eat this plantain with sauce while others like to use groundnut, as a real Nigerian we don't really wait for the sauce we prefer going for peanut since it could be gotten anywhere.

2. EWA AGOYIN

EWA agoyin is a well-prepared delicacy. Some people say that there are special people for this dish, but it's false. Ewa is made with well-cooked beans and a sauce topping. This very delicacy could be gotten anywhere most, especially in Lagos. EWA AGOYIN always goes well with bread, and it's very delicious and tasty.

3. CORN AND UBE (Pear)
Corn is a typical street food; it only problem is that it has a season. A lot of people love to eat corn with coconut either boiled or roasted while others from the Eastern part prefers ube, which is pear and it's really a sweet combo.

4. OkPA

This is a special Eastern delicacy made of Bambara nut flour. Okpa has a different taste from Moi Moi even though they look like their method of preparation differ.

5. AKARA(beans cake)
This is deep-fried meatballs made with washed grounded beans mixed with pepper, onion and another street. This could be gotten anywhere most notably in the morning before work and at night after the days work. Akara could be taken with either bread or pap.

6. SUYA
This is a barbeque beef, fish or chicken it's been roasted or smoked till it gets dried to some extent, A real Naija man would possibly use garri to eat this while those that are still learning use any refreshing drink.

7. PUFF PUFF

This is a deep-fried snack made with flour, sugar milk and yeasts.
Ingredients
  • cups + 1-2 (480) tablespoons warm water (See notes)

8. ABACHA (African salad)
This is basically made with dry shredded cassava mixed with other ingredients that bring out its taste.

9.KOKORO

Kokoro is a deep-fried snack made from maize mixed with sugar, cassava and yam flour. This always made children happy most, especially when taken with milk.

10. MOI MOI

This is one of my best meal because it does not select what it goes with.
