The CDC confessed that E. coli, a dangerous bacteria is capable of causing dehydration and abdominal cramps three to four days after exposure and it can also cause kidney failure in chidren below the age of 6years old and in older adult. Following this,The Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service made known last Saturday that Lakeside Refrigerated services of Swedesboro is recalling some ground beef produced on June 1.
It is assumed that the product which was sold under the brand names of Thomas farm and Market Side Butcher may be contaminated with E. coli and have a manufacturing number "EST. 46841 inside the USDA inspection mark according to the recall notice
The items where distributed nationwide. Thomas farm and Market Side Butcher product where commonly sold in Walmart.Though they has been no report of disastrous effect obtained from the consumption of such, the recall notice after much testing on the beef said the beef have to be returned to the producer to prevent future death and harm.
The USDA also made it clear that there is a high probability that the regular use of the product will cause disastrous health.
The product involved are:
- 1 pound vacuum packages containing "Marketside Burcher organic grass-fed ground beef and a use by date 07/01/20
- 1 pound vacuum packages containing four "Marketside Burcher organic grass-fed ground beef and a use by date 06/27/20
- 1 pound vacuum packages containing 3 "Marketside Burcher organic grass-fed ground beef and a use by date 07/01/20
- 1 Pound packages containing four quarter-pound of "Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef Patties 85% Lean/15% FAT " and a use by date 06/25/20.
- 1 pound vacuum packages containing four quarter-pound pieces"Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef Patties 85% Lean/15% FAT " and a use by date 06/25/20
- 1 pound vacuum packages containing four quarter-pound pieces"Thomas Farms Grass Fed Ground Beef Patties 85% Lean/15% FAT " and a use by date 06/27/20
