Microsoft and Google collaborate to bring more web apps to the Play Store

Microsoft and Google collaborate to bring more web apps to the Play Store

Collaborating to bring more web apps

Web apps will support more features on Android.

Microsoft's Android support goes beyond native apps and devices like the Surface Duo. He reported that Microsoft is collaborating with Google to help bring more (and more importantly) progressive web apps to Android devices via the Play Store. Applications created using Microsoft's PWABuilder tool will use Google's Bubblewrap utility and library to take advantage of new features, including a new standard for web shortcuts, “deeper” push notifications and visual customizations. Web applications should simply feel more at home on your phone.

Microsoft said that it should not require more effort to implement extended features.

It will take some time to see the applications using the new features. Still, it can cause more and improved apps to reach your phone. It's no surprise to see Microsoft and Google working together in such a situation. While this gives creators more reason to use Microsoft's toolkit, Google gets more developers creating Android-friendly web apps instead of directing people to common apps in a browser.

The iPhone 12 Might Have a Fingerprint Scanner Under Screen

The iPhone 12 Might Have a Fingerprint Scanner Under Screen

iPhone12

Apple is one of the brands that popularized the use of fingerprint scanners on smartphones. However, currently, Apple’s flagship products, the iPhone 11, the iPhone 11 Pro, and the iPhone 11 Pro Max, no longer use this biometric sensor. The reason? On older models of the firm, the Touch ID was positioned on the home button. However, on newer models (except on the iPhone SE 2020), this button no longer exists.

However, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple is saying goodbye to the Touch ID. The firm could very well follow the example of the manufacturers of Android smartphones and integrate the fingerprint scanner on the screen on its next models. Rumors have already suggested this on several occasions.

And if for the moment, Apple has not yet indicated whether it wants to use the fingerprint scanners integrated into the screen, we at least know that the engineers of the firm have already thought about it. Indeed, as the news site Apple Insider reports in an article published this July, the US patent office recently published two Apple patents that are related to this technology. In addition, the firm’s previous patents were already linked to this technology.

A technology that is already used by smartphones running Android

Of course, for the moment, these patents do not allow us to say that Apple will integrate a Touch ID on the screens of its next models. Nevertheless, the intellectual properties of the firm provide an idea of the technologies that are being explored by its researchers.

As a reminder, currently, Apple’s flagship products that no longer have a fingerprint scanner use facial recognition. If this system can be very practical, it also has its limitations. For example, currently, wearing a mask forces iPhone users to unlock their devices by entering a password. And Apple had to update the iOS code in order for its operating system to adapt to this situation.

After presenting the new iOS 14 at the WWDC conference, Apple will unveil its next iPhone before the end of the year. The main innovation should be 5G modems. Indeed, Apple has put an end to the conflict which opposed it to Qualcomm in order to be able to source from this supplier of components for smartphones. But it’s likely that the Cupertino firm has other great surprises in store for its fans.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has been announced by Samsung with at least a huge error regarding the back and copper color, it is not yet clear when and at what price the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series will come out. The same can be said for the second generation foldable Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, which is expected to retire the brave Samsung Galaxy Fold.

According to various information collected and published by Tech Maniac, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra should be presented at an online event without a Samsung Package on August 5, and shipments should be scheduled for August 27.
The two top prices of the series should get your eyes out of their slots: Actually, it's talking about $ 1400 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 and $ 1600 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Although prices in various European countries may vary due to different taxes, it is reasonable to expect an increase in prices compared to the previous generation.

More than 2000 USD for Galaxy Fold 2
When it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2, things don't develop even by mistake. According to the leak from a reliable source at all times, the new folding smartphone should land in Greece for 2500 USD.

What do you think about these prices? How much do you think smartphones will sell in Italy? Let's discuss in the comments below!

Galaxy Note 20 first look and specifications leaks

Galaxy Note 20 first look and specifications leaks

Samsung has accidentally posted the official image of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra in mystic bronze color. It looks beautiful. Way better than what I thought it would look like.

Galaxy Note 20 Leaked image

This is the Ultra model because you can see a periscope zoom camera lens. The camera rings are not shiny steel but rather look like matte chrome.

The back looks exactly like the leaked CAD renders.

Ice Universe shared the screen protectors of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Both the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra will have a punch-hole cutout. The difference is the hole diameter is going to be 1mm thinner than the Galaxy Note 10+.

The bezels all over the front will be trimmed down, compared to last year’s Note. This will increase the screen to body ratio even further.

The image above gives a clear indication of the relative sizes of the two models. The Galaxy Note 20 Ultra has a bigger camera module. Note 20 Ultra is the only variant that supports the periscope zoom camera of up to 50x and 108MP camera.

The Note 20 on the other hand will feature camera specs similar to the S20+.

One of the color variants will be copper. It looks more like a pinkish copper. It will not have a glossy finish but rather frosted matte glass.

Now, what’s unclear is whether or not all variants would have frosted glass.

There should be some glossy color variants too so that people who like shiny stuff doesn’t get left out.

Ice Universe says all of the smartphones and tablets that Samsung is launching at the unpacked event will come equipped with the Snapdragon 865+ an overclocked version of the 865.

Galaxy Note 20 series will be the first handsets ever to have an SoC that can do over 3Ghz of clock speed. Apple’s A14 Bionic chip was supposed to be the first one to do that. But Qualcomm stole that spotlight from Apple.

Samsung has also completely solved the camera focusing issues for the Galaxy Note 20 which is good news. What’s not good is that the 120Hz refresh rate is unlikely to work at maximum resolution yet again. However it isn’t confirmed yet.

If Note 20 also doesn’t support it then it takes away one of the key features of the handset. I hope it isn’t the case, though.

Galaxy S20 Software update

Samsung issues an update to the Galaxy S20 variants improving the quality of the telephoto cameras. The 10x, 30x, and 100x zoom has seen some improvements. It’s rolled out to Chinese versions of the S20 phones and the global versions should get it soon.

Galaxy Watch 3 Price

The price of the Galaxy Watch 3 has been leaked. Evan Blass revealed on twitter that the Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in 9 different configurations. Including titanium and stainless steel. The price point will be between $400 and $600.

The original Galaxy Watch started at $329 for the 42mm version but the Watch 3 has some significant upgrades compared to the original watch so the increase in price was expected. Also, these are going to be some watch faces on Watch 3 and Samsung will launch it on July 22nd.

Apple is back with a new ridiculous trend

Apple is back with a new ridiculous trend

iphone 12 will not include charger in box

Apple has done some stupid things in the past such as dropping the headphone jack. Recently they’ve been on a good side such as launching a $400 phone. Pricing the iPhone 11 cheaper than its predecessor the iPhone XR and more.

Apple is also expected to price the new 5G iPhone 12 variants the same as the iPhone 11 variants. All of this was to make us believe that Apple is no longer the company we used to despise in the past. But it seems we all got it wrong.

Apple is back doing those stupid things again. This time they will no longer include a charger inside the box. Yes, you heard that right, a charger. You need to buy it separately now. Ming-Chi Kuo a famous Apple analyst says Apple is doing it to keep the price of the iPhone 12 down.

5G networking components on the iPhone 12 series will increase the costs. While Apple wants to sell the iPhone 12 at almost the same price as the iPhone 11. That’s the reason Apple is going to pass 100% of the cost savings directly on to the final price.

The problem is nobody is going to see it like that even if it’s true. Because the charger is a basic need for a phone. Without it, the phone can’t even function. Just imagine, you go to the Apple store to buy the iPhone 12 Pro spending over $1000. Then you come home only to find that the phone is running out of juice and there’s no charger to charge it.

If the phone was required to connect to a computer then it could be somewhat justified that the computer will act as a charger. However when the iPhone is completely standalone and you’re purchasing a $700-$1100 product that you cannot use after one charge without another $30 purchase is beyond insane. I see a lot of people already on twitter predominantly iSheep shamelessly defending this idea. By saying they have a lot of old chargers laying around so this move from Apple makes total sense.

A tech-savvy person who upgrades his phone year over year and sometimes twice a year may have more than two chargers laying around. However an average consumer doesn’t. Remember people sell their old phones with chargers and earbuds included. So if they want the new iPhones then this is going to cost them $63.15 to replace the Ear Pods and the 18W fast-charger that the iPhone Pro models come with.

It’s somewhat acceptable for them to not include the ear pods. The phone is completely usable without them. Bluetooth headphones have become the norm these days. It is rare to see anyone using wired headphones these days. Although I hate the fact that they forced us to use Bluetooth headphones.

But without a freaking charger, a basic necessity for a smartphone is not acceptable by any means. Not today, and not tomorrow. Maybe once we get true wireless charging and we don’t need to put the phone on a mat and it gets charged over the air. The cable is from where we are going to charge it and charging brick is absolutely necessary.

You might think this isn’t a big deal for you because you’re on Android. But if history is any indication then these Android companies will shamelessly follow this stupid trend by Apple. Just like they did with the headphone jack and that ugly notch and will take us back. Back to a time where Android was the joke platform to Apple and its obsessed followers.

It sure looks bad and feels even worse as someone who covers Android for a living to know that this could possibly transition to the Android world as well.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 With 100W Fast Charging Will Be The Selling Point Of 2021

According to previous news, the overclocked version of Snapdragon 865 Plus will be released in July with a base frequency of up to 3.09GHz and a current score of 64,610 points (Asus Rog Phone 3)

According to previous news, the overclocked version of Snapdragon 865 Plus will be released in July with a base frequency of up to 3.09GHz and a current score of 64,610 points (Asus Rog Phone 3).

But PLUS is just a transition, after all, Snapdragon 875 will be the real successor. As usual, Qualcomm will hold the Snapdragon Technology Summit in December when Snapdragon 875 is officially announced.

The game's main selling points for the first quarter of next year are the Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 processor and + 100W± fast charging. Three of the four Smartphone manufacturers in China are currently testing to accelerate the commercialization of 100W fast charging and large batteries for more comfortable gaming.

Coincidentally, former OPPO Vice President Shen Yiren also asked on Weibo: "Who will be the first to charge and charge a 100W + smartphone?"

In this context, the digital chat station announced that the OPPO plan was originally planned to show technical plans in the first quarter of this year. After all, your own 100watt charging process is also very fast. I don't know when commercial phones will be on the market.

Earlier, Xiaomi and Vivo demonstrated a 100W and 120W. the fast filling solution, Lou Weibing, president of Xiaomi Group China and general manager of the Redmi brand, also said that 100 W fast charging technology had reached the initial stage of adult mass production and could be expected in the future.

It should be noted that Lynn Bin, vice president of the Xiaomi Group, has already pointed out a quick accusation of the Xiaomi 100W by 2019. Under thanks to the 100W fast charging, the 4000mAh battery will be fully charged in 17minutes. This speed can be higher for mass production and commercial use.

While we are talking about Snapdragon 875, this can produce a very large Cortex X1. ARM claims that it will offer a peak efficiency of 30% higher than Cortex-A77.

Compared to the Cortex-A78, the overall operational efficiency of the Cortex-X1 is increased by 23%, and the Cortex-X1's machine learning capability is twice as high as the Cortex-A78.

If Qualcomm Snapdragon 875 uses Cortex X1 + Cortex A78, it is expected to continue the "1+3+4" combination and update its performance records in the Android camp. In addition, Snapdragon 875 is expected to integrate the 5G X60 baseband, which is one reason for the increase.

Snapdragon 875 is expected to use the 5 nm process. Some say it's TSMC or Samsung's process. This convention is scheduled to be released later this year and will be available in March next year.

With this in mind, the fast charging of Snapdragon 875 and 100W will be the main superior standard for next year, especially leading e-sports phones, and extreme performance and extreme charging will provide players with a better experience

Realme X3 Announced with 120 Hz Refresh Rate and Snapdragon 855 Plus

Realme X3

The smart phone is so similar to its brother Realme X3 SuperZoom. It means it also features a 6.6-inch IPS screen with measured edges, Full HD + resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and, most importantly, a 120Hz refresh rate .

The screen incorporates the two-lens front camera, whose resolution has decreased compared to the SuperZoom version. Here we have a 16 + 8 megapixel selfie shooter , the second lens being a wide angle.

The second and main difference between the Realme X3 SuperZoom and the Realme X3 is found in their cameras. There is no last name SuperZoom and there is no super zooom, but more zoom around the house, 2x optical or 20x hybrid . Otherwise, it's still a quad camera with a 64-megapixel main sensor.

The other two additional sensors remain unchanged. On the one hand we have a 119º wide angle with 8 megapixels of resolution and a 2 megapixel macro photography lens. On the outside, the camera is the only way to distinguish the Realme X3 from the SuperZoom model, since the "square" lens of the periscope is missing.

As for power, the Realme X3 continues to bet on the Snapdragon 855+ from last year, which is not accompanied by a 5G modem, so 4G connectivity is maintained. The phone goes on sale with versions 6 and 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The battery is for its part 4,200 mAh, with fast charging Dart Flash 30W.

Price and Release Date

The Realme X3 has been officially launched in India, and we currently have no further information on its distribution in other regions. It will go on sale next June 30 in two versions and two colors: blue and white.
  • Realme X3 6 + 128 GB , 24,999 rupees, about 294 euros to change.
  • Realme X3 8 + 128 GB , 25,999 rupees, about 305 euros to change.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus chipset could launch in July

Best phones with Snapdragon 690 SoC

2020 has been a good year for smartphones so far, especially when it comes to performance. Moving forward, Qualcomm will allegedly introduce Snapdragon 865+, a higher binned version of its flagship SoC this year, as early as in July. The information was shared by renowned tipster Ice Universe on his twitter handle.

The tipster, however, has nothing to substantiate these claims. On the other hand, Asus ROG Phone 3 launch is set to launch on July 7 in China, and if past record is anything to go by, the upcoming gaming phone will most likely debut with the SD 865+.

Both ROG Phone and ROG Phone 2 each debuted with higher clocked versions of Snapdragon 800 series chips in their respective launch year.

Speaking of chipset specification, the Snapdragon 865 Plus is rumored to be clocked at up to 3.09GHz, substantially higher than what SD865 chipset can achieve (up to 2.84GHz). The 865+ chipset is also expected to include an integrated X55 modem for 5G support. Asus’ gaming phone is expected to pair SD865+ with a 120Hz AMOLED screen.

Apart from Asus, Samsung is also rumored to include Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform in its upcoming Galaxy Note 20 series and Galaxy Fold 2 smartphones. A recent Galaxy Z Flip 5G recent specification leak also hinted at the existence of Snapdragon 865+ mobile platform.
